SPORTSMEN’S dinner AND PROGRAM

Our Deacons are sponsoring a special dinner for men and boys on Saturday, January 30, at 6:00 p.m. in the Social Hall.  We invite all of our hunters and anglers to cook and bring wild game and fish. Men who do not have game or fish to bring are asked to bring a vegetable, bread, or dessert. Also, hunters and fishermen are invited to bring your prize mounts for display (please bring mounts by 5:45). Our men are encouraged to invite guests to this special fellowship dinner as an outreach.

Following the meal, we will have a program by Jim Jones, pastor of Mill Swamp Baptist Church. He has been in the ministry for 30 years; the last 12 at Mill Swamp Baptist Church in Ivor. He graduated from Tennessee Temple Univ. He has been hunting all his life and loves sports. We will also have drawings for door prizes, including several rod & reels, hunting knives (18+), fishing tackle, etc.  Please sign up by the 27, or call in (520-1211) to let us know you are coming, so we will know how many tables and chairs to set up.

 BAPTIST MEN’S DAY

On Sunday, Jan. 31, we will have our annual Baptist Men’s Day. We will have a Men’s Choir in the 8:30 & 11 AM services (meet in the choir room at 8:10 or 10:35 for rehearsal). That evening, we will continue our Men’s Day emphasis when Walter Puffer and another layman will share their testimonies. Let’s have a large group of men in attendance that Sunday!
