OUR GOALS
SHORT RANGE GOALS: (2 YEARS OR LESS)
1) At least 27 baptisms during the 2007-2008 church year (10% of Sun. A.M. worship average).
2) Increase visitation attendance to 5% of our average S. S. attendance (12).
3) Reclaim at least 5 inactive church member families each year.
4) Begin a Sunday morning Van/Bus Outreach Ministry.
5) Continue a regular Tape Ministry delivery/pick-up service for shut-ins.
6) Begin construction for a new building. This will include more classrooms, more parking, recreational space, new offices, and conference room. Complete construction by October 1, 2008.
7) Raise at least 1/3 of the cost of the building project in gifts and 3-year pledges (approx. $500,000).
8) Increase average attendance in S. S. to 250 by September, 2008 [Averaged 228 this past S.S. year].
9) Develop a good discipleship & follow-up program for new members and others, and continue an average attendance of over 150 on Wednesday nights. [We averaged 116 last year].
10) Maintain weekly small-group prayer attendance of at least 5% of S. S. attendance (12).
11) Maintain at least 10% of Sun. morning 11:00 A.M. worship attendance in our adult choir (20) [It was 23 this past year].
12) Meet or exceed the average weekly budget requirements in regular offerings.
13) Increase mission giving by at least ¼ % of budget each year.
14) Continue to send short-term volunteer missionaries from our church each year.
15) Begin a monthly Wednesday night supper [after new building is built].
16) Begin at least 2 new S.S. classes for Single Adults (25-45), Young Adults (20-29), Ladies, and/or other additional classes after new building is built.
17) Start a Children’s Choir that meets regularly.
18) Revitalize a Men's Service Ministry.
19) Parish Nurse Ministry continue to offer ministry training classes (ministering to bereaved, sick, terminally ill, etc.)
20) Start a Young Adult Ministry to reach more young adults (discipleship, fellowship, and/or ministry)
21) Add at least 10 new people to our S.S. and/or church rolls who live within 1 mile of the church.
22) Expand our use of technology to share God’s Word & our ministry.
23) Expand our benevolent ministries.
MID-RANGE GOALS:
1) Acquire all the property between the church and Lakeview Road.
2) Begin a Men's Outreach/Discipleship Ministry.
3) Begin a Single Adult Ministry.
4) Add or adjust paid staff as needed for growth, and to meet ministry needs (Children’s Director, etc.)
5) Begin a Preschool choir program.
6) Set up & promote endowment fund.
7) Begin a weekday preschool, after school program, and/or home school program.
8) Help plant a new church in Chesterfield County and/or elsewhere.
9) Expand current sanctuary or build a new one.
